I like clean air.
They had it coming.
Seems like they got away pretty easy.

So moving forward, do they just print the disclaimer "For Off-road Use Only" on the product and packaging??

Seems like that's been the get-around for decades.

Now the question is will they be coming after the owners of the device?
Also what is going to happen to tune writers?

Guessing not. Harley Davidson came out with their SEST vs the SERT. Screaming eagle Street tuner vs screaming eagle race tuner.

EPA knows they sold and installed them on bikes with passenger plates not trailered race bikes.

They too got off with a relatively light fine.

I just got back a 3015 I had unlocked from SCT two weeks ago, so they're not too concerned I suppose.

Also, for every tune writer they go after, 10 more will pop up in their place. Demand isn't going away, especially with the potential cost some of these emissions systems failures can cause. I think this is more chest thumping than a committed call to action. But, the government surprises me at every turn, so who knows.

I'm sure the stench that comes out of the new gas cars when they put their foot in it is harmless.
