I'm not in my truck tonight but I saw that Waze had an update. Anyone try it yet?

Yes I did but what I’d makes it so apple CarPlay does not work. But I don’t care about text on screen but when I look around on web it looks like it’s supposed to work with CarPlay.

I made it home and tried it out on my truck a few minutes ago. Looks good! I like that I have both Google Maps and Waze handy.

So what does your screen look like? Is it CarPlay? Because on the one i did you had to turn it off to work? Is that how yours is?

Homerj did you upgrade your Sync to 3.0 to get this to work?

the instructions you posted were to use Waze with Sync. The latest release of Apple iOS brings Google maps and Waze info CarPlay. I haven’t seen Waze yet, but google maps works very well in CarPlay. My experience with Sync and Waze is that it’s an okay implementation but still a little buggy. Definitely looking forward to trying Waze out later this week.

Yes it's CarPlay. It looks just like it does on your phone. Works just like Google maps?

Just updated my Waze app, in the notes it says it works with CarPlay. I took it out to my truck & there it is on page two right beside Google Maps. Opened it up & entered a destination. Looks like it will do the job but I haven't taken it on the road yet.

Didn't have to upgrade to Sync 3.0, still on 2.3

my truck was built in March 18 and yet to do anything with it due to people saying it had glitch on new up date. It’s said no updates as of yesterday but I thought that was strange and tried again and it would never down load anything just do that moving circle. And did the instructions I posted above but sound like I’m doing somthing wrong.

I have the newest update for iPhone and Waze didn’t say I needed an update. So what am I doing wrong? What instructions did you use? I guess I will try today to ad CarPlay back on on see what it does.
