International 4700 2002 Rear end.

Hey all I am trying to find out what rear end is in these truck, they are both identical and two digits apart off the line. What did international put in them during that short span. Disk DRW on 10x22.5s?

Just had new rubber put on and saw a cracked rotor. I assume they are as simple to work on as the full floaters near the same as the 350/450s from for that year

I'm not sure what you have as Navistar transitioned from the S series to the Durastar in 2002.
If you have a medium duty truck the chassis was probably built on the same line as the Ford F-650/750 chassis.
Call a Navistar dealer and give them the serial number, they'll be able to decode the truck and tell you what axle it has.

FYI F-350's during that time used Dana 80 axles, F-450's used Dana S110's and F-550 used Dana S135 axles, the 110 and 135 axles where also available in some light chassis Navistar's, Peterbilt's, Freighttliner's and KW's.

If your looking for a brake rotor you'll need to go to a Navistar dealer or take the old one to a truck parts store and match it to the one you need.
Rotors for a F-450/550 won't fit a F-650/750 even with the same axle due to the difference in the wheel bolt pattern.

I appreciate the insight. I gave international a call with the vin and it’s a n175. Full floater just like the dually fords. Itonically parts are cheaper than a 350, hell a lot bigger, even from international direct cost.

I can buy brake shoes and drums for a semi truck cheaper than pads and rotors for a heavy duty pickup.

I'd believe it. I have a 4x4 7300 i need to likely do the brakes on or at least check as well, they are air brakes, never done them before. Got any pointers
