replacement speaker

This is a dash mounted speaker from a 78 F150 w/o air conditioning. Does anybody know where find new or repo one?

Thanks

Is that 7" between mounting homes? JBL and Pyle make 5x7 coaxes that have end mounting homes. Most speakers use 4 corner mounting holes, so you could have fun finding the right one. If it's 8", Kicker carries them. Easiest check is measuring between the two mounting holes, then do a search on Amazon eg. for 4x8 or 5x7 speakers.

Its 7 9/16 center to center on the mounting holes. Actual over all is 8 1/4 x 5. And I'm looking everywhere and to boot I only need one.

Try MCM Electronics. They have always had all kinds of speakers, as well as all manner of other cool electronics. They were a mail-order outfit before the internet, but last time I checked, they had probably everything on their website.

Here's a link:

Looks like they changed their name and don't have it, using 4 ohms as a filter, but you can still check.

That cheap single-cone speaker has a sound all its own, bouncing off of the windshield. It's a forgotten sound, just like our seat belt warning buzzers.

No personal experience with this speaker, but several of the reviews make it sound decent and it seems to fit our trucks. Crutchfield does not seem to think it fits, but they also think there are speakers behind the seat too...

Common speaker, Radio Shack, or maybe try a boat place with marine speakers?
