Which accessories count against payload?

Placed an order for an F-250. When I placed The order, I thought I was going to be using a tonneau cover. I have since decided to put a cap on the bed. So I don’t need some of the accessories I included in the original order such as the storable loading ramps or stable bed extender.

Will these accessories count against my payload number? Anyone know how much they weigh?

I do know know the answer FOR SURE, but I believe all those things are "Dealer installed options" and will not be counted as part of the trucks curb weight because they where not on the truck when it left the factory.

The real number that matters is your gvwr. Every item in or on the truck will count towards that. So removing the stowable ramps will save 60 lbs.

a comment on the bed extender. I’m on my third truck with a cap (though my new super duty is tonneau only). The bed extender weighs very little and stows nicely to the sides. You should keep it. It’s great for using your bed like a trunk. When folded inward it makes a nice area within arms reach of the back to put groceries and whatever other cargo you put in there.

Thanks, bobv60 and Section 179.

Well, I’m told I can’t change my order at this poin, so I’ll get to see whether or not I’ll still find these accessories useful after taking delivery.

I was thinking the same about the bed extender, Section 179...having an area near the gate would be real handy. It’s my first truck so I’ll have to sort out my preferences after I get it.

If the law ever weighs you, your weight is your weight and will be compared against your sticker.

@355spider—I got that much. Just wondering if the accessories I added for the order affect the sticker.
