First it has a with a PTO for bed and winch. Making some funny grinding like sounds when you operate it. Also could use some vin decode help. ....actually everything help. Like what the electric button is on the shiftier. Will post photo later of that.
The ad on craigslist said "RUNS GREAT JUST NEEDS A MASTER CYLINDER"
Yeah right,
So far I needed to replace the master cylinder, 2 wheel cylinders, a starter, belts, and a partial carb rebuild... just to get it off the property of the seller.

Welcome to FTE!
Grinding with the PTO. Does it grind all the time, or just when operating the controls? What kind of controls does it have? Did you have the clutch pushed in when operating the PTO control?
VIN and warranty plate decode--stand by, I don't have the decoder ring. Some is obvious like wheel base and GVWR. The "164" for HP indicates a 330, not sure which one.
Electric button on the shifter, a red button that clicks up or down? That would be the two speed rear axle. I has a high and low range, and can be used to split gears once you develop the technique. You MUST follow the guidelines on shifting or you will have unsatisfactory results. You can not shift it down like a transmission to use engine braking for example. You must never try to shift it at all going down hill. (you crest the hill in low and leave it there)
Post 5 here has the Eaton videos. Note my comments and others--some shift any old way, but assume Eaton is correct about how they should be shifted:

Since the truck does not have an air system, PTO is likely operated either by a choke cable or a lever linkage. You would have to use the clutch pedal to engage and disengage it. the same hydraulic system that raises the body would also operate the winch. Winch would have a dog clutch on it to allow the cable to be free spooled.
