Speedometer cable foam?

Does anyone have a link to purchase the piece of foam that holds the speedometer cable snuggly where it runs through the firewall? After 220,000 miles, mine has deteriorated, Im pissed....lol

I had the same issue on my 79. I found a rubber plug at Lowe's (in the drawers) in the hardware section. I cut a slit in it so the speedo cable would pass through, pressed it into the hole and it worked for many years after that. To answer your question.....Im not sure any of the vendors carry it. Haven't seen one. Take a small piece of foam, wrap it around the cable and stuff it in the hole. (Just an idea).

Can always get a piece of hose the size of the foam, slit it, work it around the speedo cable, then glue the split edges together with super glue. Probably last longer than foam, too.

Originally only furnished with the cable.
