Need a cheap tailpipe

This is a 2000 7.3. So my exhaust is broke above the rear axle. None of the shops seem to able to repair it for less than 150. In the spring I want to but a full stainless exhaust but in the meantime would a cheap tailpipe like this work? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/w...2/applications It's for the truck but I'd think it'd work for an excursion as well.

Your local shops are likely using a walker part to fix yours, I wouldn’t call them “cheap” as a walker aluminized steel exhaust will last as long as any of the name brand stainless systems ..... possibly longer because the steel isn’t brittle and doesn’t crack as easy as the stainless.

Will that part ypu linked work ? Maybe, The Ex has the tank in the rear and I recall that section being diffrent then the trucks.

It might work, but don't forget the 4" adapter as well., I forget what size the stock exhaust is 3' or 3.5"..plus clamps if you aren't welding it in.

Good point. I'm thinking of running 4" up further if I can find some 4" straight pipe locally.
