Epic Ford Super Duty vs. Tow Truck Battle

It was the bank's truck.
"Car repossessions are major bummers, and they happen all too often in a climate where auto dealerships prey on the financially vulnerable." The dealership has nothing to do with people not paying their debts.

Glad they arrested the guy. If I had been the tow truck driver I would have gotten out, walked away, and watched because the tow truck has insurance that it going to have a field day with this idiot's insurance. I'd be thinking what color I wanted to wrap my two new F-450s in once the idiot got done destroying the one he was hooked to, because that is going to be a slam-sunk settlement by the towing company - damages plus punitive.

Tow truck drivers drive around parking lots when nothing else to do. With a clip board and license plate numbers, they look for make models that match. If they spot one, they are free to take it.
Real crummy job... Taking people's vehicles away.
I watched it happening to a lady as she was crying and yelling at the tow truck driver to please, please don't take my car.
He drove off with it..
I think they get a finders fee and are reimbursed for the tow charge.
I felt really bad for the lady and wished I could have given her a new car... Paid for..
It was very sad...
True to what I read above.. The lien holder (bank, etc) auctions the vehicle (Auction Price is the lowest) and will get a judgement on the borrower for any difference. Wage Garnish, New loan to pay the difference, etc... Really stinks.. I thank God, this has never happened to me. It has just gotta be one of the worst nightmares in someone's life.

Not quite how the process works. The bank contracts with a specific company to find and repo vehicles.
And they are not taking people's vehicles away. They are reclaiming bank owned property.
I've had a vehicle repossessed. Not anywhere near the worst thing that has ever happened to me. And it wasn't the tow truck driver or the bank that deserved blame, it was my fault. I knew that from the outset and got the vehicle back.
