I am going to be putting my cab back on my 1947 ford truck and was wondering the location of the 6 springs that are supplied with the mounting kit sold. If any one has a pic or info I would appreciate any thoughts.
There is one spring on each side of the cab front mounts and two stacked springs on each of the rear mounts. There is a washer between the two springs at each of the rear mounts.
Front is: spring, washer, nut, cotter pin.
Rear is : spring, washer, spring, washer, nut, cotter pin.
Great timing, getting ready to mount my 42 cab and was thinking the same thing.... where did all the springs go. Seems like I Remember some springs at other locations for the fenders. Can anyone enlighten me where those went? Am I missing any ther locations that were spring loaded other then radiator.
There is one spring on each of the rear upper fender mounts at the cab. There is a spring on each of the front lower fender braces where they attach at the bumper bracket/frame. Then there are the two springs at the front core support/radiator frame mount.
