1961 f350 dually front brakes

I am having trouble finding a good picture of how all the springs and such go for front brakes . All of mine got destroyed when we took the drums off they were frozen on. Also where is best place to buy the brake parts?? Also the rear end in my truck is of a later model I think late 60s can someone tell me by this number c7ta-8r 502914-1 or 6. that would help so I can get correct rear brake parts. thanks a bunch.

Is the rear axle 6 lugs like the front? Or 8 lug? Start internet search for parts. Autozone, Advance, O'Reilly's Napa. The front wheel cylinders are available. I know that O'Reilly's lists brand new front drums cause they are the same as used on later Dodge trucks.

Thanks for the reply . The rear axle is a 8 lug I think from a 1967 but not sure. I didn't think O'Reillys would carry much for this old truck but I looked it up and sure enough they say they have them . I will stop and order those soon . And I found where I can order a MPC to download as a pdf so that should help with brake parts. My front axle is 6 lug for what it is worth.

As long as the kingpins are in good shape, there's nothing wrong with the 6 lug axle. My truck steers completely straight going down the road. If you look up Number Dummy on here, I'm sure he can post a diagram of the front brake assemblies. The most important part for the rear brakes is knowing what size shoes you have. The springs and hardware are pretty much the same into the 90's. I had a 67 F350 that I had replaced brake parts. That was back in 93. Last year working on my 96 F250 I used the brand new leftover brake springs from the 67. So you shouldn't have much issue getting those pieces.

You are correct I have no issue with 6 lug straight front axle . I was lucky enough to score 3 of the 17.5 tubeless Budd rims for it also. Maybe the one they call Number Dummy will help cypher my axle code. ?? Thanks for the help
