Other bits needed to install Edelbrock carb on 460?
I'm having enough issues with my Motorcraft 4350 carb that I think I just want to replace it. I've found a carb that I like, an Edelbrock 1905 AVS2 650 CFM 4bbl with manual choke. I've also found the Trans-Dapt 2199 adaptor plate to go from the spreadbore to squarebore. What I'm uncertain on now is what various Edelbrock add-on pieces I need to connect the throttle cable and tranny kick-down lever to it. Can any of you advise me on this?
The truck is a 1978 F250 with a 460 and a C6.
Thanks,
Roger

The Ed carb likes 5 psi maximum fuel pressure. The OE carb generally likes (and gets!) 7-9 psi. Stock fuel pressure will cause flooding with an Ed carb.
You likely need a fuel pressure regulator to knock pressure down to the 3-5 psi range with the Ed carb. Holly makes a good regulator per my understanding.

Blue and White is exactly right. Without carb fills your crankcase with fuel. Pic shows the ball stud and the kickdown adapter. I forget the part number for that but hopefully the pic will help.
I had to mod both the throttle rod and kickdown lever as shown. I'm sure you can make your kickdown lever look better than this. KInda funny how ya look back and think what the heck did I do that for?
