Question 2019 Super Duties with B&O Play

So, to those of you who have received your brand-spanking-new 2019 Super Duty trucks with Lariat and higher trim, what do you think of the new B&O play audio system?

Thanks!
Jim / crewzer

I will get back to you tonight once I take delivery!
I'm a big fan of good audio, of course each person's definition of good audio varies on opinion, but I hope it's music to my ears!

From what I've heard of the F-150, it's just as bad as the Sony system.

I'd be interested to know as well. I'm doubting it's much of a difference over the Sony. I heard this B&O system in an F150 and I wasn't impressed.

Its just as bad as the Sony. You start loosing base at volume level 20 and onward. Just a different name to an equally inferior system. There is some comparisons out there and a few guys have done full systems to upgrade the B&O and the Sony.

I only have 20 minutes in the vehicle so far, and using Pandora with the higher quality audio setting turned in, can't say I'm wowed. To be perfectly honest, I'm pretty content with it (good thing right since I bought it? Haha!). But it's pretty decent, but there isn't any bang from the bass (likely due to me listening to country!). I may post back in a few days once I've had a little more time with it, but it's decent. I'd put it a little better than my 2016 explorer sound system. So I'm good. The critical many won't find a big difference

I have an 18 Lariat F250 with the Sony and my parents just bought an F150 with the B&O. My non tuned ears can't tell a difference. The Sony system in the 13 Raptor I traded in was noticeably stronger than both. I listen to country most of the time so I'm not really beside myself over it. There is no bass to speak of to compliment the highs.

I hate to say it, but this is one area where Ram has it nailed. The Alpine system in my old truck, and my wife's Jeep, blows the Sony system out of the water at every volume level. I've complained about every factory system in every car I've ever had, except for the Ram. But... since I have no problem with upgrading stereo stuff, that'll be the first mod. I'm ok with the door speakers, but the subwoofer is seriously lacking, especially at low volumes and low frequencies. Looks to me like the sub box isn't designed to resonate well at lower frequencies and volumes.

Thanks for comments! I must confess that I was hoping for overall better reviews...

I'm already planning on upgrading the system and I haven't even gotten my truck yet. I need good audio - I'll start with speakers and then go full on DAC.

I'm very pleased with it in my 2019 Lariat Ultimate. Of course I came out a '12 F150 Lariat that even though I had upgraded the speakers, pretty much had the worst OEM system ever.

There have been a couple of scattered comments about an amp adjustment or upgrade that produces good results for a little time/money.

I’ve been down the road of full systems. Had a windows computer in my dash in 2003. Not interested in messing around with that crap this time around... or replacing almost good enough speakers. If anyone’s got a clear recipe for improving the clipping, please share

Needs way more bass and volume. Then again I do not might if my ears bleed.

Highs and lows on the B&O are a titch better.

The vocals still sound like a Bluetooth speaker in the bottom of a large metal garbage can
