Yep. I couldn't even consider a regular cab, even if the lack of storage in the cab was acceptable (which it's not). It's just too uncomfortable at 6'5". I'm actually surprised that they still make them, with the small demand for them today.

I'd be interested to see the sales figures for each level of F-150 from the XL regular cab to the $70k top of the line Raptors and Limiteds. Does Ford break down the sales that way and if they do can someone post them? I'm no expert but I would think that the XL regular cab would outsell the Raptor and maybe the Limited too. Besides, Ford can advertise the trucks "starting at" whatever the price of the XL is....

---if I am allowed to link to a different forum. The lack of space in the 2016 compared to the '09 reg. cab really annoyed me. I did this - got back quite a bit of useful space, big enough for camera bags, computer, groceries, etc.

In the last few years I've been seeing a lot more new regular cab trucks on the road and quite a few dealers are actually keeping one or two on hand. These trucks I'm seeing are not all farm or business trucks either, just regular people that decided they don't need the extra room or expense of a SC or CC truck.

Yes those were the years that had them I think they got rid of the half doors because they made the front doors longer on the 09-14 cabs. That took up most of the space of the half door.
