6 speed 2019 or 9 speed 2020 transmission
I will be pulling a 10k gooseneck horse trailer with a F350 4x4 DRW CC 6.7 with 3.55 LSD. I like the idea of the tried and true 6 speed which seems to be a very good transmission but don't want to miss out on the next generation tranny if it's going to be all that much better. I'm concerned about the first year kinks too.
Any thoughts??

If you need a truck now or next few years got the 6 speed. It is proven durable and reliable especially for a 10k trailer.
If you can wait 5+ years then wait until the new 9/10 speed has been "field" tested by others. I wouldn't get the 2020 model year, maybe 2021...
Personally the 6 speed is what I would want. Less complicated. Already available now. I would also expect minimal (if any) MPG gains vs the 9 (these trucks are bricks, doesn't matter how many gears you have). When towing the difference will be even less.

Looks like they’ve been testing this tranny for at least a year. By the time it comes to market it’ll be sorted out. The benefits of the 10 speed tranny will be considerable. Who wants to buy old tech ?

My 2017 F150 has the ten speed. It is going back to the dealer tomorrow for the 4th time for vibration issues.
My wife drives a 2017 Expedition with the 6 speed. It is smooth as glass and perfect. I wouldn’t buy another 10 speed if my life depended on it.
I don’t give a **** what Ford says, driving along at 45 mph in 10th gear at 1,100 rpms can not be good for any engine
