Under Dash/Under Seat Lighting?

I did my own by buying a less than $20 setup off Amazon. What are your expectations? Do you want a setup to play with while driving? Or do you want to use them for courtesy lighting?. I have mine wired to come on in conjunction with my aftermarket running board lights, when you open a door, and when you turn on the cargo lights.
If you want it for courtesy lights, I'll reply with a super easy way to do it, with no exposed wiring.
Do you have a flow thru console?

Cool, you have the same, and want the same.
This is the set I ordered fromAmazon, surpisingly high quality.
First thing I did, was tap into the hot and ground at the cargo lights on the back of the cab. Take your lights loose, and let them dangle. Take your hot/ground wires and jam them up behind the headliner, aiming for the dangling cargo lights. Tuck your feeds between the headliner and roof working to the right side, and down behind your "C" pillar trim down to the floor. Pull up the plastic kickplate, and run the feeds alongside the other harnesses.
Pull out the cupholders on the console, and unbolt the rear panel. Make splice under the kickplate to the feeds you just ran, then tuck them under the carpet, aiming for the back of the console.
I cut off the lighter adapter, and hardwired the control box.
I then ran my light wires inside the side panels of the console to each footwell under the dash, and mounted with an additional layer of 3M trim tape.
For the back seat, I ran the light wires to under the front seats, there is an elastic strap on the lower back edge that works perfect to hold the lights.
Control box and power feeds are stashed in the console under the cupholders.
I prefer to solder and heat shrink all connections.
My lights work just as you describe. I used the cargolights, because it's a lot easier figuring out hot/ground, than screwing around in the wire harnesses under the kickplate.
Oh,before you button everything up, set your lights on the style you want, the blue matches the OEM lights pretty close. I used this same feed from the cargolights, to power my running board lights.
Questions? Just ask, but when you get to doing it, pretty sure you'll figure it out. I'll try to post a photo, key word is TRY, IB sites lately haven't allowed me to upload photos.
Nope, still won't let me.
