How to clean up used parking light lenses

I have a good used pair of 55/56 parking light lenses that are better than what's on my 55 now. They have some rust marks on them, although the rust marks might be out of sight once installed.

How do I get the rust off and what is the best way to clean up the face of each lens? I thought of using my wife's Magic Eraser but thought I'd ask first...... ask you guys, not my wife!

Surprisingly, metal polish with either 0000 steel wool or a terry cloth rag works great on plastic lenses. Follow it with a plastic polish and they will look good as new. If you have a buffing wheel, you could also use some compound to clean them up with less effort.

Toothpaste on a cotton ball with swirling motion, rinse thoroughly, buff with micro fiber cloth.

Thanks for the tips.

I just checked Dennis Carpenter. He sells them for $10 each. So, clean up old ones that I currently have or buy new at $20 a pair plus $9.99 for shipping?

Try Iron Out Walmart and Home Depot Carry it. I used in the past for this and it does the trick and seems to be the most common go to for this sort of stuff in the hobby.
See below pics of the results. Both looked the same before the left was given a soak in Iron Out.

That's impressive. Did you soak the whole thing or just the lenses?

These were not not mine, but another member from the Pontiac forum I was on when I restored the 1967 W66 Firebird.
He had asked the same question and posted the results from Iron Out The pictured one was soaked with out dissembling. These are the same results I have seen when using it. You probably should do it outside as the stuff stinks to high heaven and the better half may not appreciate it being done in the house.
