Ha you don't know me! you don't know my life!

Per a quick google image search....

Crawl under the truck on the driver's side, you should have no problems getting to this location with your drill. The only inconvenience I had was the front driveshaft, but you won't have that issue lol

Yeah. As long as you're on the manifold, you should be OK. That is the most accessible location so most people put it there.

You could put it in the lower part of the uppie, but they're pretty thin and dril/tap would be sketchy, and if you strip it out, you'd have to buy new pipes.

Cool deal, I will post up picture once I am finished.

Not too concerned on EGTs seeing as I am on stock injectors and will have no intake, nor uppipe leaks...but since the uppipes are out, best time to do the probe!

Here is my hole (...waits for laughter to slow...).

I was under there for a while seeing what angle of approach seemed best. Settled on what you guys see below. I will tap it here once my Edge EGT sensor kit shows. Used the frame and a brake line to keep the drill square. I started with a 1/8" pilot hole so the R or Q bit would center on it. Not sure of the letter, but one of the two. Apparently an 11/32" will also work. BUT, do your own research on that one.

Be sure to wear goggles, safety glasses alone are insufficient. Dewalt makes a great set for about $10-12, also great for working with refrigerants for A/C.

Mine is a simple, old Insight CS. Works fine once I updated the software and firmware. Amazing how few parameters this 7.3 has to my old 6.4. I think I picked this unit up when the CS2 and CTS2 hit the market as everyone wanted the latest and greatest.

How how can one of these rigs actually get at WOT with stock injectors? I have full exhaust and open intake. No boost leaks. Billet turbo wheel if that matters at all.

Hotter than u think. I could touch 1200 fairly easy when I had stock stixs. I couldn't even imagine going back. When mine was drivable it was a ton of fun!! Egt were great with the power. Some tweaks in progress with anticipation of even better results.

Good to know. I always kept it on the modest tow setting, 10k or less due to my intake leak and junky uppipes.
