I have a brand new battery fully charged and I've load tested it twice now but the truck is still acting like it has a dead battery. Every time I try to start it I get a click from the starter and everything goes dead, dome light and all. Everything stays dead until I disconnect and reconnect the battery. Any ideas?

 

My guess would be a bad battery terminal connection or a wire connection real close to it. Maybe try headlights and/or brake lights next time it goes out. Safety equipment is more directly wired. If you have a meter you can check where you have power and don't have power.

 

I'd guess corrosion on wires, most likely bad ground
