Check your local laws, as well. If this vehicle is driven on public roads, it is technically illegal to swap an older engine into a newer vehicle, due to emissions. If you are in a state that checks such thing thru an annual inspection, this would be problematic.
As a previous reply stated, these are two totally different wiring harnesses, pcm's, sensor sets, etc. This is a lot of spaghetti to untangle and sort thru. It is not a common or recommended swap, so aftermarket support is probably nil.

My 3v has 240.000 and is worn. 3600$ full reman LB is not a option as truck isn’t worth it. Woods truck and camp bound is my thoughts for it. From my knowledge the 2v can be used on top end of 3v block with codes of course even after programming and will communicate with trans properly so throttle cable install and a few others. Any thoughts? I do have a c6 and t-case but that’s a different story.

WELL - EXCUSE THE HELL OUT OF ME. I've participated on this forum for a long time and received lots of good advice and tried to provide some when I feel qualified in some way, taking care not to throw out snap / smart-*** / stupid / wrong advice just to add to the post count. One area I've worked hard to acquired some extra knowledge in happens to be the OBDII system and diagnostics through the use of an inexpensive Bluetooth scanner app (Torque Pro). I know the '04 3v accomplishes EGR effect by retarding cams and the O2 has an EGR valve with all the necessary control mechanism / logic. I also know the '04 PCM has and maintains a number of Failure Mode Effect Management (FMEM) flags for accommodation of failed systems. These FMEM flags implement 'POWER LIMITING' logic in the PCM software.
This is the reason I suggested it would take a PCM change. THEN, what about harness connections for the EGR Valve -- etc. Otherwise, the '04 would certainly wind up in EGR MFEM mode and you would be an unhappy Ford owner. Of course what I did not know THEN, is you must basically be an unhappy person all the way around. So, go in peace. Adios! Or to use your own term PO.
