Lock/Unlock When putting in park
On my 16' 350, I could set all the doors to unlock when I put the truck in park. On my 18' I can't seem to get the same setting. I have to manually unlock with the button so my wife an kids can get out. I tried the Easy access settings, can't remember what its called. What am I missing?

One of the safety tips that is continually stressed at my job is NEVER SET IN AN UNLOCKED VEHICLE. I think Ford has decided to go with safety. Just because you stop and put it in Park is not a definite indication that you are ready to let someone enter your vehicle. Yes, it’s inconvienient sometimes, but, IMO, worth it to mitigate the risks.

I was just outside doing stuff and reached my limit on dealing with this issue. Came in to post the question and saw this thread on page 1. While I appreciate Ford thinking about my safety, I wish they gave us the option. I put my truck in park in a dangerous part of town way less than in a safe area. I own a black truck on the Gulf Coast so I leave the truck running a lot when I get out for the a/c. A good compromise would be if Truck is running in park and you open driver’s door the rest unlock. Oh well. Someday I guess I’ll develop the habit of pushing the unlock button when I get out. Old dog learning new tricks not so easy.

On the settings control panel for the lock/unlock feature, there is an option for "Remote". Click on that and choose "all doors" instead of "Driver". See if that works for you.
