78 ford 400 6.6l newbie
OK guys this is my first post. Bronco enthusiast. We have recently acquired a ford 400 6.6l. Wanting to increase the low-end torque i.e. Shaving the deck and boring out the cylinders to a larger size. We have been doing hot rod but 4 x 4 at the same time and looking to increase the low-end torque going to get thumper sound like you would with a cam but addressing the actual compression issues. Anybody have any thoughts? I know with the stock is. I'm not planning on going to get my degree in mathematics LOL was hoping somebody could give him advice for the largest bore to give at least one point plus a better compression any advice would be helpful thank you guys. Now the caveat to all of this is that it's going into a 64 Ranchero sitting on an 85 full-size bronco XLT frame. We think it's an interesting combination and worth doing and worth doing right. Any advice appreciated.
