1955 Ford F250 Bedsides

I'm restoring my 55 F250 and I discovered that my long-bed bedsides are completely shot. I have looked everywhere to see of I can find them reproduced somewhere but I haven't found anywhere with the 8' long-bed sides. If anyone knows where to get these bedsides or has a set of them that would be great.

I think MidFifty sells the long beds.

ProsPicks makes the bed sides for Mid-Fifty.

I made my own as have many others here. There is a fabricating shop in Milford with a 10' shear and brake, and the bend was perfect.

Regards, Mark.

I would think that the F250 bed would be a bit more difficult given the fact that it has the wheel well tubs stamped into each side.

Thats exactly my problem, I should be able to use my existing wheel tubs and weld them into a new bedside if I can get some.

Thanks Mark, I contacted them and I believe I can get some longbed sides through them

Here is a pic of an F250 wheel tub that I installed in my F100 bedside. Rather than welding, I used 3M08115 panel bonding adhesive to mount the tub. These tubs were not installed with the rear wheel centered so you may want to do your homework before you cut the bedside, especially if you have a bed floor that you are going to reuse.

An interesting way to eliminate weld spots.

That was my other thought, I may use adhesive and fender bolts to attach the tub to a new bedside to make it look as close to stock as possible without the possible consequences of welding. Thanks for the warning about the centering the rear wheels.

Here is what the finished product looks like, well finished as it is ready to paint. The bed I used was too far gone to straighten all the dents out of both the inside AND the outside so I laminated a sheet of 18 ga steel over the outer side of the bedside. This gave me enough bedside thickness to install the fender mounting bolts into the bedside so they don't show on the inside of the bed. This also hid the flange of the wheel tub...not that it really mattered since it is pretty well hidden by the fender and tire. I did this bed as a challenge...an old guy in my club said it couldn't be saved, I think that he has been proven wrong.
