I am looking to replace the input shaft for the 3spd manual transmission (column shift) for my 1952 Ford F1. While trying to replace the bearings and seals, I took the input shaft to a local shop to have the pressed-on bearing removed with a hydraulic press. The guy rushed a bit, and had the base blocks a little to close and it caught the small teeth and snapped a few off. To say the least, I was not thrilled, but now I am in need of a replacement input shaft. The one I need has 16 big teeth and 30 small teeth. Pictures attached. Any help/advice on where I could find one would be appreciated.

There are TWO different input shafts. 8M-7017 used with 3 M/T // 1C-7017-A used with 3 M/T & T-87 H/D 3 M/T

8M-7017 .. Input Shaft - 16 helical teeth; 30 clutch teeth; 8.25" long / Obsolete

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 9 = 800-476-9653.

He says column shift, so it's the light duty 3sp. Check with VanPeltsales.com for a good one, new or used.

PS they can put the new bearing on if you wish

 

I looked a bit further, either one will work.
