I'm about to burn this truck to the ground

Many of you have been so helpful. I thank all of you for your time, patience and advise.that being said I am at a loss with this truck.

No fuel to the fuel pump. I've replaced pump twice. I can feel suction and it sucked fuel out of a 5 gallon diesel can without issues. I've replaced all of the fuel lines front to rear. new fuel filter, dropped the tank and cleaned it thoroughly. replaced the screens in the sending unit and the black screen at the end of it. replaced the electrical sending unit and even blew through it with my mouth to verify that it flowed. reassembled and still no fuel to the pump. I have checked everything I can. I don't get it. I just can't get fuel out of the tank.

I disconnected new fuel injection lines that comes right off of the sender unit. Hooked up a siphon to see if o could pull fuel out. I'm getting almost all air and a very slight dribble of fuel. i didnt see any damage to the lines on the sender. What could be the issue?

When you sucked the fuel from a 5 gallon can did it flow back through the return line? If not continue to pump until it does. That way you know the low pressure fuel side has been bled. At that point your truck should start. FWIW, it might be time for a second set of eyes to look at it.

Is the pickup tube/screen down at the bottom of the tank below the fuel level? Don't just assume it is.

No. I didnt pump it until it went all the way through the return. However I did pressurize the system the last time with compressed air and got fuel to flow out of both ends. I just dont understand why it won't pump.

The screen is below fuel level. I have 7 gallons in it right now. I'm going to pressure check the sending unit hard lines and see the results.

Injecting air into the fuel system is aggravating your problems. You need to disconnect lines, put them into a 5 gallon tank and cycle the ignition switch until fuel flows steadily out of the return line. Do that until you do not get air and try to start it then. Did you make sure the electrical to the pump is not wired backwards?

This is may sound dumb but try it with the fuel cap off. Maybe there is an obstruction in the cap or vent line causing the pump not to be able to suck fuel from the tank. The 5 gallon can would have been open to the atmosphere so no chance for it to "try to suck the sides of the tank in". Just my $.02 worth. I have found sometimes it is the simple things. Good luck and post your findings.

So, you are saying that you have it in a 5 gal bucket and have good fuel flow completely through the fuel system and back through the return line without air? Something I don't normally do but call 913 and 704 and 9801 and I will talk to you.

So check your connections. If you have a leak at the intake side of the pump you won't prime. has to be a solid connection all the way to the fuel. But you knew that.
polarity correct? Dissconect output line and cycle key.

Why did you create this thread instead of using your other one? It would be more helpful in case others have a similar issue in the future. It would also help others searching if you put your problem in the title of the thread.

OK, so are you going to tell what you did? As far as front wheels not turning I'm pretty sure it will be calipers rusted in the pistons and will need replaced. The best thing to do is bite the bullet and buy new ones. If it hasn't been running or moved for a couple of years you will be finding other things that it will need. Change the oil and anti freeze if it has been setting that long.

I pulled the sender and did the hutch mod, pressure curled all lines AMD ran it off the dieselcnagao until saw the fuel voming out of the open fuel bowlcdrwin. Hooked up all new lines and it statted. dont know for how long but it did start.

Calipers are smoked. I will be replacing.but I'm trying to move it in the garage before I do that. Also I've replaced everything on this truck already. the list is extensive. the only thing I haven't done is brakes and hubs
