Roush has announced a new F250. The first time Roush has played in the 3/4 ton market.

$15,000 for a 1.5" level with Fox shocks, wheels, tires, Weather Tech mats, and a bunch of graphics and logos? No thanks!

I thought Roush would have put SOME KIND of performance upgrade?

 

At least the truck looks good...but I'm not going to spend that much money on my truck.

 

Looks awesome, bet you could do all of that yourself for about $3-4K tops though.

 

...and someone will buy it. Just like the $10000 Rocky Ridge package that might include even less.

 

I'm sure they'll find a few schmucks with more money than brains to pay $14k for about $100 in cheap plastic.

 

Some might say that the main difference between an $80k Limited and a $45K XL is mostly cheap plastic. Mechanical bits are both the same. Take an $45k XL, add fancy wheels, some trim and leather on the seats and you have an $80k Platinum.

 

I'm looking forward to another fender flare option, but if the 150s flares are any indication of price they could be around $1,000.

 

That a fool and his money are easily parted is not in question. The question is, how did they ever get together in the first place?

I guess everything is relative. I bought and Limited and would do it again. But the Roush? $14,000? Not me!

 

Well don't forget that the XL 6.7's are built by Windows ME machines, in shops with no roofs in windy deserts.

The Limited on the other hand are completely hand built with white gloves in a dust free room, signed by the tech and each tuned to guarantee 500K trouble free miles.
