spring on hold?

awaiting the arrival of spring in upstate NY. we are running 10 to 15 degrees below ave. high temps and will continue another week. the f1 is ready with new clutch and a transmission seal. ready to bring it home and start enjoying it. i have about 8 months of f1 time per year, but i'm losing april fast. is anyone getting better than ave weather out there? the heat has to go somewhere.

I hear you, a month ago I was racking my yard taking pictures of my truck outside and today I have 10 inch snow on the ground again. Next weekend is a outdoor swap, I'm hoping the snow will be gone by than.

The heat isn't in Maine either, Dick. I still have snow in my yard that is three feet deep in places where the snowblower and snowplow piled it up.

I'm currently in North Carolina at the moment visiting family and spring is more apparent down here, but I hear they have been getting colder than normal temps the last few weeks too. It's 8:30 a.m. and the thermometer is reading 48 degrees. Should be 10 degrees higher than that this time of year.

Maybe Florida is getting all the heat......I agree with you - someone is!!

Central PA is not getting the snow Wisconsin and other states got but spring ain't here either. Today is an expected high of 41°. Last year I was mowing grass on April 5. I haven't even got my mower out to tune it up this year!

This is what my little corner of the world looks like this "spring":

More than 30 inches of snow since April 1--about 19 inches in the last storm--and more snow possible for Wednesday and Thursday.

Wow, Jim....that's enough to make it look like January! I can imagine all the curses that Mother Nature got from your area.

I was about to complain about the colder than average and very damp weather in MA until I saw Jim's picture. I think I'll count by blessings it's just cold and rainy, but I still won't bring the truck or old Volvo out in this weather unless absolutely necessary.

As it has been so many times in the past, we will not have a spring or autumn. We again will go winter, 43º today, right into summer and then at the end of summer, we will go 80º one day and 40º the next. I wonder what has happened.

Later!

That global warming...... I'm just kidding. I'm central ny as well and the weather just plain stinks. That's all there is to it. Our summer last year was terrible too. We have a car show we go to every Thursday. We cook out and hang out with everyone. It rained every Thursday except 3 times!!!

Didn't get much snow this weekend, but woke up Sunday morning (April 15th) to lots of Ice coating everything. We lost power for about 19 hours that day (back up generator powered the house during that time, so not so bad) Zoom in to the one picture, look at the individual blades of grass.

At least you can see grass...lol Snow is starting to melt here finally so in a couple weeks or less the grass should start showing here too..
