6.0 Intercooler CSF 7106 with PICS

Next project, replace stock CAC with a new CSF 7106. It just showed up today and I hope to have time install it this weekend. Looks like a pretty straight forward job. I do have a question for any of you that have the BPD Air Oil cooler. Will I run into any installation issues with this combo? Like, will I have to take out the BPD oil cooler to do the swap?
I'll try and post a few pics.

I don't know but wow thats a clean engine bay. You must have bought a spanking new fan shroud. Looks like there's a lot of new parts there.

Wish I could answer your BPD question, but I learned the value of all metal intercoolers when the 6.0 Intercooler on my 7.3 cracked the inlet side. It's now a paperweight that will go to scrap, but my '05 will be getting a CSF intercooler once I finish with the engine.

I bought this truck new in 06. Actually the fan shroud is my factory 06 part. It is in decent condition but it is cracked. Let me see, the new parts. New degas tank. It was almost orange and looked like crap. New hoses and belt. They were still original and it was time to replace some of that stuff.
I replaced the alternator, CAC boots and upgraded the battery wiring last year.

These Intercoolers look well made and I will be glad to be rid of the plastic tanks. I pull a heavy 5er and need to limit my possible failure points. The additional cooling capacity is definitely a bonus.

My plastic tanks on the factory radiator failed, so it got replaced with an all aluminum model. I dont want to have my CAC fail while pulling through the mountains of Arizona. So its got to go.
You wont be disappointed in the CSF. Its a nice piece.

so long as your new intercooler isnt any thicker than the old one you should be fine.. theres still a little room between the oil cooler and intercooler after i installed the A-O cooler on mine..

No you do not have to remove the oil cooler. I shimmed mine back a tad since the new IC I put in was much thicker just to prevent any touching. You may not have to do that.

BPD makes a set of tank ends that you have to weld on. Might be worth looking into that.

I will try and see if I can notice any EGT differences. That is something that is very difficult to quantify.

Thats good news. I have no oil leaks right now and want to keep it that way. So the less I have to break lose, the better. This new CSF CAC is a good bit thicker.
