Head lights staying on intermittently..

Wondered if anyone has experienced headlines staying on after shut down? Occasionally my headlights flicker while driving with them off. Sometimes at night I'll park and shutdown everything, get out and notice lights still on. Had to pull fuse from under hood once. Another oddity was when I'd turn on heater blower they'd go off for me as if the extra current draw was needed to correct things. Headlight switch faulty?

Do you have daytime running lights?. Typically a Canada only option in those years, but some do exist stateside. If the module fails, the lights stay on. Module is located on the left front of the rad support by the horns. Unplugging it will disable DRL, leaving you with regular headlights.

No daytime running lights. I've had the truck 15 years or so and problem started 6 months or so ago.

in that case, my next move would definitely be remove/inspect the headlight switch. also, don't be too surprised to find the connector somewhat melted.

Yeah I know the current runs right through it. Will do and thanks for the replies.
