Front Gear Oil Leak

Front Gear Oil Leak
Hello
Help
What seal is leaking or what is leaking?
I have differential oil leaking from the passenger front wheel. There is a pool of oil directly below the knuckle. I believe it is called the knuckle.
What are the names of the seal or seals that hold in the diff oil?

Can you post truck type (eg F150 or F250 4 wd?) and also axle type (eg. D44 or D60?).
It may matter.
Also do you have front locking hubs? The front locking hubs can matter. If the oil leak is manageable, it will only occur with front hubs locked or in 4 wd setting. Put differently, if locking hubs are open and lever set in 2 wd front axle is not spinning and minimal leak (likely).

Almost certainly the axle seals. Those are press in seals much like your hub grease seals and they push into the sides of the diff housing. The downside is that the axle needs to be completely torn down, except for the knuckles to replace, and the diff carrier removed. At minimum you may need a case spreader to get the carrier out. Be sure not to mess with the shims so you can put it back together and not alter your backlash, etc.
A shop would likely charge you somewhere in the $400 range for this job.
