I apologize in advance, as I am sure this has been covered. Getting an oil change this week and curious if dealer can disable the annoying double horn honk if vehicle running with key in pocket?
That horn warning seems the opposite of what you would expect. they should be warning you if you leave the key fob in the truck so someone can drive off....not if you have it in your pocket
I drove my truck for a week while I waited for the BT OBDII adapter to arrive...I hated that horn honk too! +1 for finding someone local that can quickly make the change for you. It honestly takes less than 2 mins start to finish.

Actually, the truck can be driven away WITHOUT the fob inside. Someone posted in this forum that he started his truck, ran back in the house, came back out & drove off ... later realizing he had left his fob at home & had no way of restarting his truck. FORScan "secure idle" will prevent shifting out of "P" when the fob is absent.
My neighbor is a technician at the Ford Dealer, and brought his computer home to disable the double honk in my truck and his van. He was unable to do it.
We ended up going with FORSCAN. Which was wonderful. Thanks to this forum, we were able to do so much more.
All I find is Forscan Lite when I search the App Store. I only have apple products. Will this app work to stop the double horn honk? I have the OBD 2 reader
