I have a 2012 King Ranch with the captain's chairs and center console. I love the truck, but with one exception, the tray in the console. Unless I am too stupid (quite possible), the tray only fits in the console dead center and can't be positioned to one side or the other. This is a pain when I need something in the bottom of the console. I can't just reach down there and grab it, the tray has to be removed (and usually spilled) to gain access to the bottom. This would not be an issue if the tray could be positioned to one side. Is there a different tray available somewhere? Am I missing something and my tray can be repositioned and I'm just not smart enough?

 

Got a picture? I have a lariat and I believe that the console is the same.

The tray I have can go on either side as well as the middle. I will get a picture later.

 

Correction, my tray only goes on one side or the other.

 

If yours looks like my 2016 then no, it's designed for the middle position only.

 

Sorry - I got the years wrong. Mine is a 2008, so different altogether..

 

I had an '08 before this truck and it was just like 73F700's. My '12 K/R is just like dirthawg's. I was hoping there may be an aftermarket alternative, because the factory one leaves a lot to be desired.

 

Mines also a 2012 KR. I forgot about the tray. Have mine laying in the bottom lol. Too many larger items to store that I need to access regularly, so it was getting in the way....

 

The second day I had my truck (2015 KR), I took a dremel tool to the tray and added notches, now my tray can be positioned to the right or left and in the middle

 

I'd like to see the mod, mine is a 2013 and just the center position as well.
