Headlight adjustment. Sorry!

I am looking for the headlight adjustment procedure for adjusting my headlights on my 2017 F350. I am sorry because I know there are old post’s on this but I can’t seem to find what I am looking for. I just had a 2” level installed on my truck today and I got flashed a lot before the level so I figured I better re-adjust my headlights because they will be even higher now. Thanks.

Thank you. So I’m guessing that in step number two when it says to measure from the headlamp bulb center to the ground, they must mean the upper bulb? I have an XLT with halogens.

I did mine after leveling. I parked it on a level surface in front of a wall/garage door. Turned on low beams...put masking tape on the wall where the top area of the light beam was shining.. measured down 2 inches put another piece of tape.. adjusted the light to the lower piece of tape. Works fine.

When I do mine I'll be measuring from the center of the overall fixture.

Careful with those headlight adjusters, at least on the LED lights. The mechanism doesn’t move smoothly and I broke both adjustments cables trying to lower them. Basically the amount of force required to snap the cable is less than the amount required to move the headlight. Haven’t taken it in for warranty replacement yet...

When they say center of the beam to ground they mean the light beam projected on the wall to the ground

I just ended up doing what Ifirefight did. I couldn’t find a level enough area for the truck to sit on and have 25’ in front of it. I’ll just have to see how it works, I can always put it back to where it was or lower it even more if needed.

I just turned mine down a couple of clicks and drove it in the dark. Driving along center divider on the freeway, I just made sure the beam had a slight downward angle. I know it's not the "technical" way to do it, but it worked.

Just how firm do you need to be with those headlamp adjustment screws? I have a '19 F250 and attempted to adjust mine but noticed they are tight (as s&i&) and not wanting to break or strip them I stopped. Am I missing something or will they withstand a firm/hard turn? Suspect I may be better off taking it to my Ford dealer and having them do it.

were you able to get yours adjusted yourself or did you end up taking yours into the dealership to have them do it?

You have to look really hard but in the center of the top headlight lens is a tiny circle. That's the center mark. Nearly invisible. I was going to photograph it but it doesn't show up too well in the viewfinder.
