Transmission slipping into nurtral.
i have 06 F150 5.4. Has about 160k on it. For a while the trans would skip or buck between gear wen cruising . The other day I was driving and it just stoped all togather. When I turn over drive off I can drive fine but will not go out of 2ed gear. With the od on it drive fine till I hit 35-40 mph and then acts like it is in nutral. If I really give it a lot of gas it will catch for a second and go then kick back out but still will not go to 3rd. I changed the fluid and filter and was no diffrence. I took it to a shop and but a big computer in it and it has thrown no coads at all so there is nothing to read. Wondering if it could be a speed sensor or if I’m looking at a new trans?

@jON39 you need a different shop if they "put a big computer on it and there is nothing to read".
Our trucks provide a wealth of OBDII information on the transmission. There are somewhere around thirty parameters that can be read with a capable live data scanner. Such as 'commanded line pressure', 'line pressure', input shaft RPM, output shaft RPM, calculated gear ratio (Input-to-Output), solenoid status, Torque converter slip, gear number, and on and on. If you have Torque Pro App - I can provide you about 30 custom PIDs you can input into Torque and read yourself.
Edit: Add Screen capture
