Katzkin leather upgrade

So I finally decided to bite the bullet on the Katzkin leather kit in my XLT. If anybody is on the fence about this...do it. The leather is so soft and comfy and the pics do it no justice.

Wow, that looks nice. Do they fit directly over the cloth seats or do the cloth covers have to be removed first?

I did the Katzkin website, at the end it gave me local installers and an estimated price of $1700. I called him and he said $1200, that was paying $800 for the kit which leaves him $400 to install. I know he doesnt pay $800 because they are for sale on ebay for $539. He also said if I did the factory matched kit, it is cheaper than if i try to custom make a set. This was in Lexington, KY.

Did you get a chance to watch him install? It's crazy easy to do it yourself. Either way, welcome to the club, the quality of the leather is amazing and it just gets better over time! Make sure to use a good cleaner/conditioner every once in a while.

No, his insurance wouldn't allow me back there, so he said. I was questioning the cleaner/conditioner, Katzkin says it has a coating and nothing is needed, if you spill something use a damp cloth and thats it?

Skip the lariat wheel and get limited. Way better leather.
