I've been looking for a new(ish) plow truck... reg cab 250/250

looking for pwr windows and sync....

I cant believe how many of these trucks dont have sync, seems like a no brainer, contractors are gonna make phone calls...

 

Must be because I have it with my XL. It's the basic sync though, just voice activated commands for phone, radio etc. I have power windows and power door locks too, so it's out there.

 

I was able to get both of those on my STX, which is really a dressed up XL.

 

Yes, there is an option group.

It`s called XLT.

My first 2017 F250 was an XL with the power equipment group which is PWR windows, locks, mirrors, keyless entry, locking tailgate, perimeter alarm, accessory delay, and upgraded door trim panel for $1125. The basic sync is a stand alone option for $365. My new STX came with both.

 

As indicated here .... U can get XL/STX with Sync 3 and 8" touch screen. I almost ordered one like this. I really like the way this SD is spec'd out. Really had some great functional options in an XL!!! Very nice!!!

 

Power equipment group and add sync use to be able to add sync 3 for $315 but was looking last night and it wouldn’t let me do it that way.

 

My 2017 SD 6.2 FX4 XL came with Power Windows, Power Locks and Sync, but it's the lower-end version. No touch screen. I do have steering wheel controls which is nice.

 

Have the XL with power windows and Sync 3. For the XL, it works like this:
- Power equipment group gets you power locks/windows.
- You can get the non-touch screen sync with the small screen that will let you do bluetooth.
- If you want the Sync3 with big screen, you MUST get the Ultimate Trailer Camera package (with all the 360 cameras and whatnot.) As far as I'm aware, this is only a requirement on the XL, XLT and up you can get Sync3 without the cameras.

I ordered mine with the Sync3 and cameras. Love it and have no regrets, just have to make sure the cameras stay relatively clean (obviously).

Also, if you're doing this in a plow truck, I strongly recommend getting the factory remote start. If you order this with the power equipment group, it's integrated into the factory remote key fob instead of having an additional fob that hangs off with just the remote start button on it, or another fob from an aftermarket system. Really really nice to have on those cold days, as you can set the A/C to auto and if it's "cold" it'll run the heater, if it's "warm" it'll run the A/C automatically regardless of where you left it when you got out of the truck previously.

 

Also have the XL with power equip group and sync. Just like I ordered it - love it!

 

This is how I did mine. XL with sync 3 and the tow cameras, you really get a lot of truck for the money this way IMO. Cameras are the handiest thing ever!

 

I am picking up new 2017 XL. I wanted key pad added on to truck pillar (like Lariats have). Dealer ordered keypad but could not get to work. There is a harness inside door that keypad plugged into. The truck is a XL w/bigger tow camera and remote power start. Dealership said it will not work. However I am a civil servant and my fleet division said they should be able to plug this in and marry everything through computer. Does anyone know about this? I would think if a harness is inside truck door and the keypad fits directly into from Ford that this could be accomplished. Any help or direction much appreciated. thx
Also anyone know what size speakers in 2017 XL?
