Overhead console with time and temp guages?

Anyone retrofit a junkyard or otherwise overhead time/temp guaged console into their 73-79? Im hoping to score one that fits somewhat in my 78 supercab.

i do t know about time/temp. But you can easily retrofit a gm rear view mirror with temp/compass or you can go to eBay and get a rear view with temp/compass/backup camera.

Follow this thread until you can get all the info from buckin69bronco! Best looking overhead in the dents, IMO

Here is what I put in, its from a late 90's tahoe/suburban/yukon. Most of these come with rear AC adjustment ***** on the front plate (area where all the wires are coming out of the consol in the pics below) but if you search the same year Blazers, S10 or some full size trucks you can find the block off plate to replace the AC adjustment plate. This would leave you a good place to mount your gauges or readouts, it's what I did but I have not added any gauges yet.

That said the console doesn't just strait bolt in. Show in the bottom two pics is where the consol was (drawing in black line) and what material I had to add to it to make it match the headliner contour of the truck.

I wrote a better discription of the consol install here about 3/4 the way downon page 1

The rear map light/dome light is from the same tahoe/subruban/yukon too and it's a direct fit.

The rear view mirror from the same tahoe/subruban/yukon or any late 90's GM truck or SUV and has temp and compas built into it along with auto dimming. It mounts to a GM type, glue on mirror holder. The temp sensor is 2 wires and comes from the same trucks that the mirror came from. GM mounts them just to the inboard side of the drivers side headlight. I added the wiring diagram to the bottom of this post. Pre 2000ish is the 7 pin version and post 2000ish is the 16 pin version.
