Hi guys,

I'm usually over in other forums, but fixing up my Bullnose brings me here. I bought some bucket seats out of a 1993 ExtraCab to put in my 86 Bullnose.

See this pic? There was a cable installed on the seat track to limit its slide travel, driver side. I wonder if this is a Ford part, or if some yahoo put it on because the seat tracks were neglected, needed lubing, and didn't work well. What do you think?

 

My '95 Supercab with bucket seats does not have anything like that. Maybe previous owner installed because they had a baby seat in the back or some such thing.

 

Super cab seats are different from all others due to their slide forward/back tilt feature & recline function is combined in one lever.

I chased a problem recently & got no firm answers.

I pulled my passenger seat (the one with an issue) but saw nothing like that.

 

I do believe that is a stock Ford item. I'm thinking I could have removed something like that at somepoint in my life. I knew exactly what you were talking about before I looked at the picture. So either off of a 86 EXP, 86 Bronco II 95 fullsize Bronco or 95 F150 ext cab
