Not sure if Im posting in the right place....Ive got a 1996 camper E350 with a 460/7.5 gas engine. Truck sat for close to 3 years with a bad tranny which Ive now had rebuilt. Truck started and had a real rough idle but was more of a surge like it is fuel flow not electrical . It happens while driving at any speed as well. I replaced cap,rotor just because it was easy the there MAP sensor and the fuel pressure regulator . None of this worked. Its bad enough that I wouldn't take a trip in the coach with it running this bad. Any ideas on this issue?.

 

start by cleaning the idle air motor (ISC-BPA) by taking it off - 2 screws - then separating the body (2 more smaller screws) and use good gumout and pipe cleaners. then see what it does.

Hi, sorry to drop out of sight on you. Was in Hershey Pa for the fall AACA meet and came back to a **** show with my company. I had to order the tool to remove the damn fuel filter so haven't done that yet.The tool should be here friday. Had a new problem (should this be a separate request?)I hear a loud clicking sound in tha battery area and the truck won't start. Battery connections all cleaned,new solenoid .Truck starts with key on jumping the solenoid though. Loud click seems to be coming from what looks like a solenoid mounted to a large aluminum module of some sort below the brake master cylinder. I can send good feedback on your last post of advice. Sorry for not staying in closer touch,Jordan
