If you were ever wondering...

Should you ever wonder ‘hrm, if I change carburetors and adapted plates that don’t cover the EGR port on a 460 Ford will it melt the vacuum secondary diaphragm?’ the answer unequivocally ‘yes’.

I suppose you didn't hear the exhaust leaking through the intake manifold?
