Wheels to fit 2003 F150 4X4
Fellow Ford Truck Friends,
I wish to upgrade the wheels on my White Regular Cab 2003 F150 Flairside 4X4 and want to use 17" OEM wheels, as utilized on the 2002-2003 F150 FX4 4X4 Off Road Package. These are the 5 spoke 17" X 7.5" aluminum wheels with the 5 X 135 stud configuration, small center cap, and were delivered with the 265 X 70 X 17" tires which will fit perfectly under my fenders and perform the same. Alternately, I would consider an after market wheel in the same size, however, I have not seen any I like at this point. Most depict space like designs, expensive, and not my preference for an urban 4X4. I've been looking at the salvage yards and have found some candidates but not yet what I am seeking; many are plagued by curb rash, corrosion, and other damage. Numerous aftermarket wheels, such as those offered by OEM Wheels, and Tobacco Road are made in China which I really don't prefer. So, I am looking for recommendations as to how to proceed. Who typically makes OEM Ford aluminum wheels? I am open for suggestions. Anyone in the Durham, NC area, who wants to check out a set of wheels for me, please let me know? Thanks. Rooster

Can anyone give me the Ford OEM Part number for the 17" X 7.5" Wheels that came with the 2003 F150 FX4 4X4 Off Road Package. As I indicated earlier, these are the flat five spoke allow wheels with the 5 X 135 configuration. They also fit 2002 with the same package. Thanks. Rooster

OK, folks. I have checked Detroit Wheel & Tire, Auto Trim Shop, Rock Auto, LKQ, which is Rock Auto, and others concerning reconditioned wheels for my truck. It appears that Detroit Wheels has the most experience but also seems to have the highest prices.
Pricing aside, will any of you share their experiences with respect to quality of product received from these vendors and customer service if any issues arose? I'd rather have a higher quality product than a cheap wheel. Share if you will as I need to move forward early next week. Thanks much. Rooster.

There are no new OE wheels remaining in production for the 2002 & 2003 that I have located such as it installed on the FX4 Off Road or the 2004 Heritage Edition truck. There are aftermarket wheels, all made in China, for the FX4. I just prefer Made in USA OE wheels.
