not knowing what this storm will bring , we are in the projected path with 45 -50 mph winds . how many of you think you may cancel ? there is a 48 hour window to cancel . hope all goes well and we have a great time . but if you are not coming let Gary know .
We'll be riding out the storm inside Noah's Ark while everyone is on the outside scoffing. As soon as the dove brings us the olive branch we'll head over to General Butlers State Park to enjoy the beautiful weekend (and repopulate the earth).
I'm packed and ready to go--Gas can (gauges don't work), water, extra battery, fire extinguisher, a few spare parts, and some tools--I'll be heading out early Wednesday morning.
We had planned to head up on Wednesday and do a little sight-seeing Thursday and Friday. Given the changing forecast we have rearranged our schedule so we can do our sight seeing the Monday and Tuesday after Truckstock instead of before. So we will probably be driving up on Friday.
That's the current plan anyway, subject to more changes as the forecast changes.
Sorry to hear Dave, was looking forward to seeing y'all. But I certainly understand; a lot of people in Georgia are hosting family and friends from Florida.
For those that are still undecided, I found this animation of what is likely to happen at the National Weather Service. (Click on "6 Day" in bottom right corner).
It looks like the remnants should be mostly gone by Friday. Of course this is just a projection, anything can happen.
Garry, looks like we are going to cancel as well due to the storm. Will be working with my Mother In-Law regarding storm damage. Not even sure how bad they got it, but need to be available to her.
my apologies.

Wade bummer you can't make it. Now who will take pics for the 2018 calendar?
Hope your MIL's house is OK. You should be her favorite son in law after this. I was my mother in laws favorite son in law but I'm also her only one.
Let us know how things go.
We're kinda playing it by ear, we will be in a cabin so come see who has arrived when you come over to set up in the campground, see ya.
Homade,
Our plan is to leave here Thursday afternoon and drive half way, spending Thursday night at the Tenn/Kentucky line. Then get up Friday Morning and drive the rest of the way. We expect to roll into the campground around lunchtime Friday.
