looking at 2014 F-150
Am getting ready to purchase a newer pick up and I am looking at a 2014 2 door super cab v-6 two wheel drive. Checking to see if problems with the 3.7 non boosted engine. I don't want to go newer as I am a tight a#* and right at $20,000. 00 is my limit. (I need the extra money for the 55 f-100 I am building ) I don't need 4 door or 4 wheel drive. Looking for feed back on these trucks. OH! yah it is bright red pretty.

I have a 14 with a 3.7L. It has about 28,000 trouble free miles. It has plenty of power for normal use, it's been loaded heavy on a long highway drive through mountains and towed a car trailer on short trips. There isn't a lot of discussion on the 3.7 so I take that as no one has anything to complain about.

Drove the one I have been looking at yesterday and have to say it handled nice. Plenty power all by itself the most I would pull would be a 17 ft fishing boat aluminum so not much weight. The color is bright red so the Husker in me would be ok with that Thank you folks for chiming in . If anymore reviews I would like to here them . It does ride better than the 55 F-100 I have. Now I am thinking about lowering it has anyone done that and I don't mean drag the ground just lower about 3" or so.

Gave up on buying the 014 F-150 it had a v-6 nothing wrong with it but just wanted the v-8 302. I saw one on-line and had made arrangements to go look at it it was what I wanted so anyway got to thinking about the money and said hell no can't do it. Told the gentleman that I would not be meeting him to look at the truck.( Fast forward) did some talking it over with the wife (read boss ). We will hold off on her new to us exploder and I will get the truck if we like it we are going to drive down to Little Rock and look at it on the way to crusin the coast. THE SAGA CONTINUES. will post picks if I get it. Thanks for all the info guys on this it has helped me decide.

I have a 2014 F150 3.7L supercab STX. I bought it with 18,000 mi. I do love this truck. I has plenty of power. I tow a boat across Tx. several times 400+ mi each way and can do it with no problem. It handles the hills without flinching passes slower vehicles when needed no problem. I also tow an aircompressor almost everyday for work and it doesn't even seem that it's there. Antisway, tow package, tow switch on the transmission makes it a good truck. My only complaint is the temp sensor went out and its a bitch to get to. Truck never overheated, just lost my gauge for awhile and the fans ran on high. I would recommend this truck. I get good gas mileage even in the mountains of Co. As high as 24mpg hwy average peaking sometimes around 25 without tow.

Nice truck; you'll love it and the 5.0. I can get 21 mpg on the highway at 75 mph in perfect conditions (few major hills, no headwind, not towing, no A/C). When you push the tow/haul button, the technology makes managing hills and braking safe and easy while towing. Even the cruise control will shift to a lower gear while towing to keep you at the set speed going down hill. Enjoy your new vehicle!
