Delivery & rebate timing? Do they get better?

My build (Platinum F350) is estimated ETA to the dealer around 9/5. Can anyone guess, based on history, if I would be better off closing the deal before, or after 9/5, from a rebate perspective? In other words...would the rebates get better going into September? The dealer currently has the following on their website for Super Duty's:

Price includes: $750 - Ford Credit Retail Bonus Customer Cash. Exp. 09/05/2017, $1,500 - RETAIL Customer Cash - FDAF. Exp. 09/05/2017

If you have a truck ordered, most dealers will honor incentives from date of order, or date of receipt, whichever are higher. If that wasn't part of the deal, then you screwed up. I would lock in what is available now, and tell them if they increase, you want whats available when you take delivery.

If stock is sitting on the dealer lots, I think the rebates may get a bit better. I hope so anyway. My salesman said they would honor which-ever rebate was higher at time of delivery.

You cant lock in now. You can only lock in the day the order is placed. Otherwise you are only eligible for the current rebates at time of delivery.

The longer you wait the higher the rebates will be. Inventory is piling up on the dealer lots. Unless there is a higher rebate for Labor Day then I would wait until after 9/5 and see what happens. Worst case scenario the rebates will stay the same. Most likely will go up.

Once 2018s come out, incentives will be lower. The 2017 Ford incentives expire on 10/02/2017.

Now is typically the best time for incentives. The end of the model year.

My delivery is scheduled for 9/6 but I will be out of the country for 3 weeks and will not pick it up until 9/25. Is it the time it delivers or when I pick up and pay?

I negotiated a price at order with the understanding through the consideration I put up that the price at delivery would not change with the exception of increased incentives that would cause it to be lower. I ordered mine 8/21 so it will be delivered after the 10/2 expiration of incentives. However, with the number of 17 super dutys in inventory now the incentives will most likely be extended and increased. I am told 18's will be late getting to dealers this year mid to late November maybe.

My truck is due in mid October.
And this is what I was told also.
I can choose between the incentives (employee pricing $15000 + $1000 Costco) or whatever is in place when I take delivery.

I agree 100%.... that's why I didn't buy last fall when I started looking. I decided to wait as late in the model year as I could. I ordered 7/18 (a week or 2 earlier than plan) and my eta is 8/31.... next week.

I am just hoping something else kicks in before I pick it up which will probably be 9/1-9/2 ..... labor day weekend...... or labor day at the latest. I've been hoping for an extra $1k or so to kick in. At this point I don't even have private offer/brochure discount. I have 4 more brochures ordered but haven't received any yet.

But I am seeing almost double the inventory on dealer lots in my area it seems. They have SDs stacked in more than I've seen this year. Maybe they have loaded up for the huge labor day super discount. We'll see.

New rebate for my area on XL and XLT, $2250 cash back + $750 for ford finance. when I ordered it was only $1500 + $750 for ford finance. Build date is 8-22 so I suppose I am still 2-3 weeks from delivery if everything goes as planned. The rebate expires on 10-2, hoping I have the truck before then.

I have heard rumors that there's also currently a $1500 factory to dealer incentive going on. Can anyone verify this? Makes sense though because my dealer was so anxious to get everything locked in for my order placed a few weeks ago.

I received an email from FORD yesterday with a "Special Offer" with my "name" and "zip code" on it.

But.... it's the same goofy offer that some have received with the brochure:
Special Offer = $1500 Cash Back OR 7.9% for 84 months
(fine print says take delivery from dealer by 10/2/2017)

As with the brochure tab with the same offer ......... it's difficult to determine whether this is the same $1,500 "Retail Customer Cash" currently available on SD or if this email $1,500 "Special Offer Cash Back" is in addition to the $1,500 "Retail Customer Cash".

Even more confusing...... if you take the $1500 special offer and add to $1,500 customer cash ........ can you still get the $750 Ford Financing bonus cash ($1500 +$1500 + $750)????

7.9%?
We are at 1.9% in Canada as far as I know.
But our trucks are 25% more so I guess it works out to be the same!

Exactly! That's why I referred to it as goofy.

Anyone would take the $1500 before taking 7.9% for 84 months. Well ..... almost anyone I know.

The question is if that is stackable on the nationally advertised "Customer Cash" $1500??

For instance... the XLT Currently has:
Retail Customer Cash = $1500
F-Super Duty Retail Customer Cash = $750
Ford Credit Retail Custom Cash Bonus = $750
TOTAL = $3000

So would this "Special Offer" stack on top of that?????
TOTAL WITH SPECIAL OFFER = $3000 + $1500 = $4500
