Crew cab owners with child seats help
So now that I'm using my truck, I will be taking my son along with me during the day. For any of you guys that have a crew cab and use a child seat, what do you use to anchor down the seat so it doesn't sway side to side, since our seat belts are only lap belts.
I prefer to keep him in the center seat.

You want to check your state laws and the instructions from the car seat manufacturer.
I have a Supercab and I've had my daughter's forward facing seat in the front and the back. I only secure it with the lap belt in back or the shoulder/lap belt in front. The latch system used on newer vehicles is generally only good for little tikes under 30 pounds or so.

My truck had the bench seat and there is a bar across the back near the floorboard. You can check that and see if you could/should use that bar as a securing point for some restraint. I would imagine an additional set of belts could be placed on top of the existing ones. I think the bolts are long enough to take another one. I am sure whatever it takes to make him safe is the goal. Maybe a new seat designed for your set up? Sandy

yes it's still active, however they aren't making the parts. So as long as the parts are still avalible for your model, you should be able to get it done. You'll have to be persistent as many may not know about it because it's so old.
