Order placed.....The wait begins.
So went to the dealer today and placed my order, my build sheet:
F350 CCLB
11500 gvwr
6.2L w/ 4.30
XLT Value package
Camper package
FX4 off-road
5th wheel prep
Heavy duty alternator
LED box lighting
Clearance lamps
Power sliding rear window
Center console
Electric shift on the fly
Ultimate trailer tow system
Upfitter switches
I have a week or so to change anything up. Thinking of swapping the XLT value package with the XLT premiuim. I'm hoping my payload >4000 lbs. Also, the order was placed with a priority code 10, does anyone know what that means?

Priority 10 is the best you can do on retail order from a dealer....... this is coming from information I read in another thread asking the same question. There are higher priorities but few and not on retail dealer orders.
Also..... I believe that alternator is 'extra extra heavy duty' g
Congrats!!! BTW....... my 7/18 order has an estimated delivery of 9/17
I'm sure that can change but that should give you a ball park.

I got my F250 VIN in COTUS but F350/450 are not in COTUS. I am not sure how you would get your VIN other than getting it from the dealer. Once you have it you can track some updates in ETIS system.
Maybe an F350/450 member can add something that I am not aware of.

So once the vin is assigned, changes can no longer be made right? Sales guy told me I still had a week to change things up if I wanted. Any input on the xlt premium package? I noticed it comes with the powerscope mirrors, how robust are those mirrors? I'm assuming replacing those would be expensive.

I would assume you have until Wednesday to change. The scheduling is done on Thursdays and once the order is "picked up" it can't be changed. If it a priority 10 and your dealer has an available allocation, and there are no parts shortages it should get a VIN and get built pretty soon after that.
The power extend/fold mirrors are pretty handy and seem pretty solid. If you don't park in tight spaces where they need to get folded in regularly, may not be that important.

My F350 CCSB 6.7 Platinum was ordered 7/13, I had a VIN less than a week later. I'm told it is in for build the week of 8/14, and ETA on dealer delivery is 9/1-9/7. Good advice above from KMP44 on the mirrors. If you do any amount of city driving or parking lots, I'd go for the Powerscope mirrors. They're huge, and you want to be able to tuck them in if so

I'm doing an F-350 6.7L CCLB KR. Skipping the chrome and 20" wheels. Doing the tow cameras, fifth wheel prep, vinyl flooring and adaptive cruise.
I don't have a dog right now, but I was thinking this morning as I climbed into my '15 Lariat what a mess they could make of the back seats when my 2 labs were alive. Really hate to mess up the leather in a King Ranch. Maybe I'll wait even longer for the next dog.
