Bumper Replacement w/ Adaptive Cruise

Bumper Replacement w/ Adaptive Cruise
I've have gained so much information from this forum, and appreciate all of the expertise and pictures. I thought I would pass along a little information on replacing my front bumper and making my adaptive cruise/collision avoidance work.
I started by looking for bumpers that were supposed to be compatible. That brought me to Ranch hand and Addictive Desert Designs. I had trouble envisioning where the module would be located on the Addictive bumper, and the price of it and the rear bumper led me to decide on Ranch hand. The RH bumper also has the practical benefit of being able to stand on it to access the hood/engine.
I had a local place install it. I was in a hurry when I picked it up, so didn't pay attention to their install of the adaptive cruise. Later on, when I figured out it wasn't working, I looked underneath and found the first picture attached. The supplied bracket and welding underneath did not line up the device in the window, by a long shot. Rather than take it back and have them remedy it, I just fixed it myself. It was a sequential job until I had it functioning properly. In brief, I removed and shortened the bracket to place it at the right height, then cut out the steel mesh, as it wouldn't function with the mesh in place. Lastly, rather than move the welded bracket, I added longer bolts and washers on one side to get the forward angle right. All is perfect now.
Anyway, I thought others might benefit from seeing what the module looks like. With the correct skill set, anyone could build a bracket and craft a solution for aftermarket bumpers. The trickiest part would be cutting a symmetrical and appropriately sized rectangle in the bumper, which was why I started with one that was "sensor ready".
Hope this helps someone. Thanks again to all that contribute.
