My 1995 f-250

I'm new to this so bare with me. I have a 95 f-250 with a e4od transmission and a 351w. Everything is original. The transmission in my truck was starting to give out so I picked up a 97 e4od that came out of a expedition. I was told it would work just fine. Well I started to make the change and started to notice some differences in the two. My question is will the 97 transmission work with my truck?

First, what's wrong with your original transmission that makes you suspect that it needs replaced?

A transmission out of an expedition will not work.
