Broke my truck, what flexplate do I need?
So I was driving home from lunch yesterday when the truck suddenly started shaking and then reved like it had slipped out of gear. Well I had to stop on the road and tried restarting the truck and nothing, the starter just spins. From what I can tell I broke the flexplate. Now I am a little confused as to what flexplate I need. I need a 50oz for my 96 correct? Do I need 157 or 164 teeth as both are coming up for a 302? I am also going to change my rear main seal, is it a 1 or 2 piece seal? I'm also considering ordering a shift kit to install while the trans is out anyway. Anybody used one of the transgo or B&M kits?
