the higher you go.. the more parts need to be changed.

parts must remain in a set alignment.. and most are Not adjustable.

If for appearance, do a body lift for a few hundred dollars.

It won't really give more ground or tire (maybe a bit of tire) clearance, but will get you closer to the nosebleed region.

Your lift can be stretched about 2" without any problems. My last 08 350 had a 6" pro comp that had been modified with 2" spacers front and rear. It was able to be aligned pretty close to spec and drove just fine. I recently did the same pro comp lift in an 09 and added a 1.5" levelling kit block in the front and used a 1" taller replacement block in the rear. This truck drives excellent!

That's great news. You did yourself? So the spacers are added on the block of original lift kit making it a 2 piece block? Or do you get a 8'' block single solid piece? Did you have to mess with any additional components? Upper/lower arms steering bars Ect......?
Might be best to order the blocks from fabtech since I have that lift

If you go up 2" more in the rear make sure you're taking the driveshaft length into consideration. If it wasn't lengthened with the 6" it probably will need to be with an additional 2". Just something to think about

Depends is the real answer. Where your current alignment sits will determine if you can do it. Do not stack blocks, order a one piece. Traction bars with a large block isn't a bad idea. Getting close to needing longer driveshafts. I this is is your driver, you'll be playing with fire. Unless you know what you're doing it can turn to an expensive basket case real quick. The height you want isn't impossible by any means. You already answered your question, order what you need from fabtech being they currently make parts for an 8 inch lift.

The rear was very easy on my truck. My lift for the rear came with 2 add a leafs and both a 2 and 3" block. This gives you a combination of lift heights. Since I haul a large slide in camper I used both add a leaves and the 3" add a block. The truck looked great but the rear sat VERY tall. I ended up pulling both the factory and add a block, and replaced them with a single 5" BDS rear block. The rear of my truck is now perfectly level with the front, which would be a 7.5" lift [6" springs and 1.5" level spacer]. It has just a tiny bit of wheelhop and I am very happy with how the combination turned out. The rear of our trucks sit pretty high in stock form so they only get lifted a small amount compared to the front.
